About me

I have been practising for over five years as an art therapist, and am passionately committed to harnessing the power of human creativity as a tool to communicate, process, transform and illuminate our inner worlds. Art therapy is a professionally regulated practice that integrates psychotherapy alongside creative expression and art making as a means of communication. Everyone possesses creativity, and art therapy can be a way to tap into complex feelings which can then begin to be processed - you do not need any experience making art. Art therapy is appropriate for all ages and stages of life, and can be particularly suited to people who struggle with verbal communication. Prior to training as an art therapist I worked as a nurse and freelance illustrator and have over ten years experience working in the NHS in sexual health, oncology and palliative care. I have a unique understanding of the human condition and creativity, and offer an open, radical space where you can explore your internal and external worlds. I am also a qualified supervisor and offer supervision to both qualified art therapists and trainees. At present I offer online and in person home visits (distance permitted).
