About me

Blending talking therapy with psychodrama, role analysis, creative approaches and action psychotherapy, we will explore what you want from life, where you are and what you want to change. We will work together to understand how the past is blocking you from moving into the future, and I will support you to meet the past with self-compassion, creativity, and emotional insight. Action Psychotherapy is a trauma-informed therapy which includes the body, the heart, the mind and the soul, meeting stuckness with creativity, destructive impulsivity with thoughtful and creative spontaneity, woundedness with compassionate reparation. This is a therapy with its feet firmly on the ground but which encourages you to give free rein to your imagination. Action psychotherapy is an unusually effective form of therapy which is why it's the therapy of choice in the prison service for rehabilitating serious offenders (I run a weekly group in HMP Grendon myself). However, it's also an uncommon therapy, with only a few hundred qualified practitioners in the UK ... so this is a rare opportunity to explore action therapy at a heavily discounted cost. I offer individual sessions, as well as running a group focussed on dreams at the Banbury Mill, which currently has available spaces. At 62 I have seen the best and worst of life, and have worked in a wide variety of fields: construction, hospitality, research, education, engineering, management, the prison service, the arts and more, thus I can warmly support you wherever you are in life. Visit my website to find out more about action psychotherapy and how it can help you. Take the next step: Contact me through my website to arrange a free initial session to think together about your needs.
