About me
I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) working part time as CBT Therapist in the NHS for over five years. I am a senior respiratory nurse specialist and nurse prescriber and have provided a specialist service for clients with psychological distress complicated by long Covid and or respiratory illness or other chronic illness. This ran successfully until recent funding cutbacks prompting me to make my CBT therapy service available on an independent basis. I have previous experience as a senior psychiatric nurse for a McGill University inpatient psychiatric unit. I have done my own personal development training with Landmark Worldwide (since 2005) and have experience being a leadership coach. I have provided CBT for clients with a variety of symptoms enabling them to achieve significant improvement in control of anxiety, depression, phobias, anger management, panic disorders and self image. My clients have achieved results in the areas that most matter to them including relationships, self confidence and career progression.

Training and qualifications
Trained as British State Registered Nurse and Midwife years ago. I moved to Canada and obtained my Bachelor's degree at Sir George Williams University in Montreal, then whilst working as a senior psychiatric nurse for a McGill University Hospital, I obtained my Bachelors degree in Nursing at MgGill University and then a Masters in Education at McGill University. I managed and developed the program of postgraduate Educational events for doctors and nurses at the Douglas Psychiatric Hospital in Montreal which is the main McGill Psychiatric Teaching Hospital in Montreal for seven years until came back to the UK with my husband and two children as my mother was unwell. After I married I returned to the UK and have worked in quality assurance on the purchaser side of nursing at assistant Director level, however as I prefer direct patient care I chose to progress my career as a specialist Respirator Nurse and nurse prescriber (Both levels) along with many specialist nursing courses. In 2016 I began University training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and completed my Postgraduate Diploma with Commendation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from University of Hertfordshire on 10July2019, I registered with the BABCP and was provisionally accredited from 2nd October 2020 and proceeded to become fully accredited CBT therapist with the BABCP
