Judy Piatkus founded Piatkus Books from the bedroom of her home when she was a single parent, and it became known for its pioneering publishing in the area of personal development. In 2007 Judy sold the company to Little Brown which continues to publish books under the Piatkus imprint. Along the way Judy qualified as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and practised in the NHS. She now has a portfolio career working with startups as well as organising events for ConsciousCafe.
