Angele Tilly is an online life coach

What attracted you to become a coach?

I had many different jobs and never felt like I found my true calling. I was lost, I couldn’t tell you what my dream life would look like. So I went on an exploration of the human mind and I found coaching and meditation. It helped me so much that I wanted to share that with others.

Where did you train?

I trained with the Mindful Talent Academy as Transformational Coach

What kind of coaching do you offer?

I currently offer one-to-one coaching and plan to expand that in the future.

How does coaching help?

My type of coaching is influenced by my experience as a meditation teacher and mental health first aider. I listen to people with kindness and empathy to give them the space they need to open and create the life they want. My coaching helps with finding a direction, a purpose, and what motivates you to get out of bed in the morning.

What sort of coaching clients do you usually see?

I usually work with clients who are at a point where they feel lost, without a direction. It could be that they have a dream or project but they don’t know how to get it started, or they can feel like something is not right but unsure what to do.

I’m interested in working with people who have dreams and projects and want to make them a reality. It doesn’t matter how big or small the project/dream is. Whatever takes your peace of mind away is worth spending time working on it.

Do you ever suggest books or other materials to clients?

Yes! I am an avid reader and consumer of podcasts, conferences, Ted talks, and everything that can feed my soul and learning hunger. If I think a book I read or a person I follow could be interesting to my client, I will share. I also love hearing about my clients’ book or podcast suggestions.

What do you like about being a coach?

I love seeing the evolution happening in my clients after a few sessions. I have seen clients come to me lost, and leave with a defined project, their motivation high and a strategy to arrive where they want to be. I’ve seen clients change their job for a completely different career and be so happy.

What one piece of advice would you give someone?

Listen to their instinct. I see a lot of clients who can’t hear the little voice inside who is telling them what feels right and what isn’t. It’s something we would work on in the early stages of our sessions.

What do you wish people knew about coaching?

That coaching is not just about achieving big professional goals or for athletes. It’s about being aligned with your values and feeling empowered that you can do the things you want to do. Even if you don’t know yet what you want to do.

Do you have a favourite client testimonial or particular success story?

My favourite client testimonial:

I felt listened to and understood without judgment and that gave me the confidence and trust to open up. I was lost in my emotion and thoughts and Angele subtly and thoughtfully helped me realise the deeper feeling and my "why", which allowed me to have a few “aha” moments and breakthroughs.
