About me
Maybe you’re feeling stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand - anxious, overwhelmed, confused, low, or not quite like yourself. I’m Vanessa, a UKCP Integrative Psychotherapist in training, and together, we can explore how these feelings have developed and what they might be trying to tell you. In our sessions, there’s room to explore your experiences and talk through whatever feels difficult. We’ll look together at the challenges you bring. Often, this might involve reflecting on what’s happened in the past and how it may be shaping things now. I bring sensitivity and care to this work and a focus on staying grounded as we move through the messy and painful parts. Underlying my approach is a belief that therapy can deepen your understanding of yourself, support emotional growth and open up new possibilities - how things may be different in the future. I offer one-to-one therapy for adults, either in person in Central London or online. You might be considering therapy because you’re struggling in relationships, navigating a major life change, questioning your identity, or feeling affected by low self-esteem, anxiety, abuse, loss, depression or bereavement. These are some of the experiences I regularly work with, and we can take time to explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years working in human resources and organisational psychology, including at Director level in the corporate world. This gives me a real understanding of how demanding it can be to navigate both personal and professional pressures - and how it may get in the way of being the person you want to be. Alongside my private practice, I work as a student counsellor at the University of East London and with a voluntary charity organisation, giving me a breadth of experience in my practice.
