About me

Psychotherapy is an opportunity to think about how we live and how we love. For many, the simple act of speaking with someone in a safe, non-judgmental space, where confidentiality allows for the expression of confused, unsettled or disturbing thoughts and feelings, sets the conditions for healing to take place. In our work together, we will explore your experiences and how you navigate life, problems, and relationships. By reflecting on the ways you interact with the world, we can gain a clearer understanding of how these patterns of thought and behaviour influence your life today. Through this process of deep listening, new insights can emerge, leading to greater understanding and opening up new possibilities for growth. I offer open-ended therapy, once weekly or more depending on what is most appropriate. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting.

Training and qualifications

I am a qualified Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, specialising in adult psychotherapy. I am also an accredited, full clinical member of the UKCP - The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. I work within and in reference to their ethical and professional guidelines.  I have a special interest in Jungian, relational and phenomenological approaches to psychological distress and with this psychological framework, I have dealt with the emotional trauma and blockages which most of us experience in the course of living, such as anxiety, disruptive episodes, relationship issues, repetitious behaviour, abuse, depression or a sense of existential aloneness. In my practice, I integrate over 10 years of experience of working within a range of clinical settings, including the NHS, charities and private practice. I have professional experience of placements at closed psychiatric units and a correctional facility. Currently, I split my time between secondary care service specialising in personality disorders within the South London and Maudsley SLAM NHS Trust, and private practice, where I provide largely an online based service. Online psychotherapy differs from in-the-room psychotherapy. It is not better or worse, just different. Whether in person or online, we start with an initial session to meet each other, assess your situation and see if we would like to work together.
