About me

I am a BACP registered therapist with a Masters in Integrative Counselling as well as being an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation. I am also a member of the ADHD Coaches Organisation.  I have worked in specialist services in the charity and NHS sectors supporting clients experiencing complex bereavement, difficulties with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma past and continuing , interpersonal abuse, and difficulties with attachment. I have also worked supporting neurodivergent clients for many years and have researched the experiences of those of us with lived experience of neurodivergence in therapy www.siljaturville.com/research .  I work relationally as a therapist and therapeutic coach collaborating with clients to make sense of what is going on, understand what it means and what could help. While there may be difficulties that are bringing you to therapy, I see these as signs of what is troubling you rather than labels that must always limit  you.  I help you to access compassion and acceptance to find respite and new ways of looking at the challenges that life can bring for us. In the early stages of working together, we may focus on what is challenging right now and ways to help you manage in the moment and feel supported. In longer term working, we could also look at the impact of past relational and other experiences to identify how these could be shaping your feelings today to enable you to make new choices about coping strategies. For many clients, especially neurodivergent clients, the focus may include considering changes in the environment around the client to make life easier. My areas of specialism include anxiety, working with attachment styles, bereavement, depression, trauma, neurodivergence affirming therapy, and working with parents or carers of children or adults with additional support needs. I also specialise in neurodivergence affirming therapy and am trained to work with ADHD, AuDHD, and autistic clients.
