About Me

Expertise:

I am experienced in working with people who have been affected by loss and bereavement and I continue to educate myself in this particular area through regular continued professional development.

At some stage in life we will all encounter loss and although it is part of living, for most it is the hardest part and can be extremely difficult and painful to navigate and adjust to.

Whether you're grieving for a person, a beloved pet or you are faced with a difficult health diagnosis, end of relationship or career, you may be experiencing a multitude of feelings which can become isolating and overwhelming. Sharing honestly with friends and family isn't always easy or possible. Talking can help and as a qualified counsellor, I am here to listen to and support you.

What to expect:

Therapy gives you the time and space you need to explore the things that are causing you distress privately and in confidence. I will not judge you and I will not tell you what you 'should' do. Together, we can look at ways of finding change that are right for you and nobody else. Based in Pinner, I offer 50 minute sessions via Zoom and on the telephone and work with clients facing a variety of issues in their lives.

At the start, I usually suggest that we have weekly sessions which may then change to fortnightly according to your needs, schedule and budget. We can work on a short term basis and agree a set amount of sessions together or we can work on an open-ended/long-term basis. If you cannot make your usual time or day, I will be flexible where possible and offer an alternative.

Free initial telephone consultation:

Please contact me to arrange a free, no obligation 20-minute phone conversation. During this time we can discuss how we might work together and you can ask me any questions you may have.

Ethical Responsibility:

I hold an ethical responsibility to work within my limitations and if I feel that you need more specialist support following our initial conversation or if this becomes apparent during our work together,  I will discuss this openly with you and together we can look at what other support might be best suited to your needs.
