About Me

I work in Central London, W1 on Wimpole Street, and in Kensington, SW7 as well as West London in Hammersmith, W6 and Chiswick, W4.

I am a Relational Transactional Analyst (TA) Psychotherapist, Counsellor and clinical supervisor PTSTA (P), and I am an Accredited clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP). I am also a clinical member registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, MBACP.

I have extensive experience in working with individuals, couples and groups with a diversity of clinical presentations from trauma, loss, stress, anxiety and depression, low confidence and self esteem, and I work with various presentations of trauma, including PTSD and complex PTSD.

Sometimes in life things can get overwhelming. Perhaps you’ve suffered from loss, a bereavement, or even a betrayal or the ending of a relationship? Do you feel stuck, anxious or low, and craving to feel better about yourself? Do you feel demotivated and unsatisfied with the general direction in your life or job? Perhaps a change in life is impacting you in a way you didn’t expect?

Stressful adverse events and major change and transitions can impact everyone in different ways, and our ability to bounce-back can be hampered for many reasons.

Negative feelings can arise after stressful events, and lead to feeling low, to ruminative thinking, anxiety or depression and more. Stress can also cause anger and overwhelm, especially following the stress of the financial and global challenges occurring, including post lock-down years following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Balanced emotional states can become disrupted by stress and adverse events, and the need for 'self-regulating' behaviour and support from a trusted professional is needed to navigate feeling overwhelmed or out of control.

Because of this, many people turn to therapy for unbiased support and a 'new way forwards', in a safe, confidential, space, to process the past and present and regain a sense of self.

How do I work?

I work with my clients in Central London in W1, Wimpole Street, in Kensington, SW7, and in Hammersmith, W6, both in short-term and long-term work, using a variety of approaches integrated to suit the individual.

This way of working has helped many clients to come to terms with the past and to transform through ‘blocks’ and traumas and feel more grounded and empowered.

Using relational transactional analysis, which means focussing on the 'therapeutic relationship' and internal and external verbal and non verbal transactions that emerge between myself and my clients, as well as mindfulness based cognitive therapy skills, body awareness, creative writing, and sometimes positive psychology and coaching, I help my clients to re-discover their self-power and generate self-compassion whilst transforming their quality of life, work, and relationships.

Often I work with cognitive and deep unconscious processes that impact us all meaning this can be ‘out of our awareness’, as well as working cognitively.

I also like to offer my clients practical take-home tools to use in every day life situations.

What are my areas of expertise?

I have helped clients with loss and bereavement, the impact of suicide, depression, grief, anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, workplace issues and career transitions, as well as fertility issues, sex and sexuality, identity issues, major depressive disorder, mood swings, Covid and long Covid challenges, terminal illness, trauma and PTSD and generally feeling stuck.

How long are sessions?

Session are all 50 minutes.

Whatever your challenges are, I offer a free initial 20-minute phone call or Zoom, where we can discuss your challenges in a confidential space and you can see if you like my style.

I will then offer you a 50-minute appointment where we can go over a full assessment, and decide if working with each other is right.

I usually work with all clients for several sessions before deciding to work longer-term and there is no obligation to continue if the fit is not right.

Who do I work with?

I can work with individuals, couples, and groups on a short-term and medium-term basis (six -12 - 24 weeks) and long-term (open-ended) offering Psychotherapy and Psychotherapeutic Counselling sessions in person or via an encrypted video-call. Together, we can work at a pace that suits you, to help feel good about yourself and thriving in your life.

If there’s something you’d like to ask me in confidence, or discuss, email me or call on 07983 248 558.
