About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile.  I am here to help you navigate life and all its uncertainties.  To help you move towards a life that you would like for yourself by helping you identify what is important and what you need to do to get there.  I offer both individual and couples/relationship therapy.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Do you feel anxious or uncertain about the future? Do you feel a bit stuck or fed up? Is self-criticism the internal talk you are most familiar with? Maybe feeling ashamed of past life experiences is stopping you from moving on and living in the present. The demands of modern life are often very fast-paced and sometimes we need additional help to stay true to who we are and what we would like from life. Therapy offers you an opportunity to work on reducing unnecessary stress so you can feel more content and less troubled.

I am here to listen to your story. I help individual's overcome anxiety (health, social, OCD, GAD), build self-confidence, improve low mood and deal with stress/burnout. I will help you identify unhelpful thinking patterns, teach you how to challenge this thinking, and work with you to learn better coping skills that will enable you to live a more fulfilling life.

A qualified and experienced CBT therapist, I specialise in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT). This therapy is grounded in the idea that people generally want to do well in life, however, sometimes irrational or unhelpful thinking can get in the way and stop us from achieving our goals. With this in mind, CBT/REBT is a practical and action-orientated approach to dealing with cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

As you learn new techniques to help you work through any distress you may have, you will find ways of being able to do more of the things you like. If you are interested in therapy with me, I offer a free 15-minute call so we can introduce ourselves and to see if the way I work fits with what you are looking for. I look forward to hearing from you.

COUPLE/RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

Is your relationship in need of a health check?  Are you in a relationship and thinking about moving in together/getting engaged/married or starting a family and would like to do a check-in on your future together?  Are you finding communication in your relationship a bit problematic and maybe you would like to find some solutions?  Are you finding yourself questioning what the future holds for your relationship?

Relationships can be tricky to navigate and all too quickly we can fall into patterns of thinking and behaving that are not helpful for a healthy and happy relationship.  Demands and pressures of life mean we place less importance on our relationship and more importance on things elsewhere.  However, we still have an expectation that our relationships will be happy, fulfilling and will stand the test of time.  We can sometimes forget to ‘check in’ on how the relationship is doing and in turn we drift apart or drift further into conflict.

Whatever your relationship i.e. couples, polyamorous, LGBTQIA+, family, siblings, friends, other, I can hold a space for you so that you feel heard and seen.  You will learn how to work on having your needs met so that your relationship reaps the benefits.  Working together we will explore and identify how your individual differences, values and needs in your relationship may differ and I will help you work on reducing conflict, improve communication, move towards better connectedness and intimacy so that together you will have the right tools to help you navigate the complexities of your relationship in our modern world.
