About me
I work in an integrative and flexible way, responding to each person as an individual rather than following a set approach. Sessions may involve reflection, gentle curiosity, emotional exploration, grounding practices, and practical ways of noticing and responding differently to familiar patterns. Clients are always supported to stay in control of what they share and the direction the work takes. My approach is primarily person-centred and informed by attachment theory. This means I hold in mind how early relationships can continue to influence patterns of relating, coping and self-belief in the present. Together, we explore these patterns with care and curiosity, supporting deeper self-understanding, emotional awareness and greater choice. My practice offers a calm, confidential and supportive online space where adults can take time to explore what is happening in their inner world, in their relationships, and in their lives. Clients often come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain, or carrying experiences that feel difficult to make sense of alone. My role is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity and respect, helping you feel heard and understood. I work primarily from a person-centred approach, informed by attachment theory, with strong emphasis on the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling emotionally safe, accepted and genuinely listened to creates the conditions for growth, healing and meaningful change. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to your needs, allowing space for reflection, emotional processing and increased self-awareness. I work integratively and respond to each client as an individual rather than applying a fixed model. Where helpful, sessions may include gentle exploration of relational patterns, grounding techniques, and practical ways of noticing and responding differently to familiar thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I place great value on the therapeutic relationship and on creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood and emotionally held. I believe that change often begins through feeling accepted and met with care and respect. I work integratively and thoughtfully, responding to each client as an individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. I have experience supporting adults with a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, childhood trauma, life transitions and emotional overwhelm. I also have experience working with neurodiversity and supporting clients to gently explore patterns shaped by early relationships. Sometimes it is easier to talk things through in a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic environment with an experienced counsellor, than to a partner, relative or friend because often, they might not be able to help, understand or hear what is on your mind. It may be that you do not wish to burden or hurt them, or it may not be possible to be open and honest with them about your feelings. During therapy, together, we can find your own answers or solutions and find the happiness you deserve. Aims and Outcomes of Counselling * Facing Difficult Emotions: Together we work through painful and complex emotions in a safe environment. * Behavioural Changes: Identify positive changes in behaviour and develop healthier habits. * Improved Relationships: Learning better communication skills and work on resolving conflicts in relationships. * Increased Self-Awareness: Journey towards a deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and your aspirations. * Resilience: Building resilience helps us to cope with challenges and setbacks with greater ease. * Fulfilment and Happiness: Feel more fulfilled and happier, with a clearer sense of purpose and direction.
