I am a qualified Psychotherapist and a Member of a number of Professional Counselling/Psychotherapy bodies. This includes being a Senior Accredited Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy whose Code of Ethics I adopt. I work predominantly with adult individuals on a medium to long term basis but I can also offer a shorter term treatment focus in particular circumstances. Foundationally I utilise a Psychoanalytic perspective. Additionally I am a qualified Regression Therapist and utilise hypnosis in my practice alongside body-oriented approaches to assist clients to access their inner experiences in order to bring about psychological, emotional, cognitive and somatic healing. I am a member of a number of professional bodies in this regard, including EARTh Association for Regression Therapy and the Spiritual Regression Therapy Association. I believe that life changing transformation is possible with the right mix of treatment methods and the deep relationship which forms between the client and the therapist. I am a highly experienced trauma practitioner and work with clients on event based/single episode traumas and historical/cumulative traumas. I teach and train other therapists in the practice and theory of trauma work. I am also experienced in working with a significant range of issues including: depression, anxiety, bereavement, grief, loss, abuse, sexuality, identity issues, attachment concerns, relationship issues, addictions, physical complaints, work place issues and various other psychological disturbances over the broad spectrum of the human condition.  I am also experienced in working with students who have an essential requirement as part of their programmes to engage in counselling/psychotherapy. Supervision is also available on an individual or small group basis.Outwith the psychoanalytic field I have a practitioner interest in the transpersonal and spirituality and am a member of the Society for Psychical Research and the Association for Transpersonal Psychology. My psychotherapeutic style is informed by Freud, Bollas, Jung, Winnicott, Mitchell and Fonagy; which means that I utilise an Integrative, Contemporary, Relational Psychoanalytic process to maximise the benefit to you. I also have a business background as well as an in-depth psychological one and I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and am a qualified ACMA, CGMA.
