About me
Have you imagined what life could feel like if you woke up feeling calm, content, and able to enjoy your days again? I’m Nathalie and as an integrative psychotherapist, I can help you to address and make sense of your anxiety, low mood, and relationship struggles by gently exploring your past experiences, building awareness of what’s happening for you in the present, and supporting you to reconnect with what truly matters to you. We’ll work together in a way that supports your thoughts, your feelings, and your sense of who you are, so that you can show up for yourself and others with more ease, feel more balanced, and start putting your needs first without guilt. You deserve a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and have the support you need as you grow into a life that feels more authentic, calmer, and fulfilling for you. My therapy focuses on adults who struggle to communicate their feelings and prioritise everyone else's needs. We will work on an understanding of how this has impacted you and your relationships and will help you to move towards more authentic living. Finding the right therapist can be overwhelming. Please let me help you by offering a free in person or virtual consultation to explore your needs. Additionally, my counselling will be useful for you if you relate to the following. You feel lost and struggle to put your difficulties into words. You feel low in mood and you can't motivate yourself to do the things that used to give you joy. You are sick of self criticism and low self-esteem. You can't get out of bed and keep overthinking what you said or how you behaved. You try to avoid your sadness and you are scared of feeling. You lost someone close to you and you struggle with the aftermath. You are burnt out from work and you question your life choices. You cannot stop ruminating and worrying about the future and past. You have experienced harm which affects your current relationships. You live with a chronic condition. You want to improve your interpersonal skills to improve your relationships. You question life and what it means to be you; You want to find a therapist you can truly connect with to find a different way of being. How integrative therapy can help I will provide you with a safe space to explore your difficulties at your pace. You may wish to address experiences from your past, trauma and current struggles. Through my client work and studies I have learnt how central the therapeutic relationship is to effect change. I will meet you with empathy and warmth to help you explore your meaning. I use different therapeutic approaches to tailor counselling to your unique needs. In our first session Struggling can feel isolating- you may feel no one understands what you are going through. I am here to accompany you on your journey and will try to understand what life has been like for you without assumptions. I strongly believe you do not have to suffer in silence. In our first session we will explore what brought you to therapy. We will discuss how long you wish to have counselling for, your goals and expectations. I can meet you in person in my therapy rooms in Brighton or Hove. Alternatively, we can meet virtually. I work flexibly on a short-term or long-term basis and usually see clients weekly. My Qualifications and Experience I have many years experience of working in NHS and council community mental health services. I have worked for psychotherapy centres and for charities. I have a Masters of Science (MSc) in therapeutic counselling and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy adhering to their ethical guidelines. I offer integrative therapy informed by psychodynamic, attachment-based, gestalt and existential psychotherapy. I have many years experience of offering mental health training and offering reflective practice to school staff. In addition to my clinical work I am on a doctoral program in existential psychotherapy. When I don't work or research you will find me outside going hiking, gardening or cycling. I believe nature can help us ground ourselves when the world feels as fast paced and hopeless as it sometimes appears.
