About me
Hello, I am Nathalie, welcome to my profile. I understand taking the first steps to reach out for therapy are difficult. Please let me help you by offering a free in person or virtual consultation to explore your needs. I help clients with a variety of difficulties including: anxiety, depression, seasonal affective disorder, self-harm, burnout, grief and loss experiences, meaninglessness, trauma, illness and relationship difficulties. How integrative therapy can help I will provide you with a safe space to explore your difficulties at your pace. You may wish to address experiences from your past, trauma and current struggles. Through my client work and studies I have learnt how central the therapeutic relationship is to effect change. I will meet you with empathy and warmth to help you explore your meaning. I use different therapeutic approaches to tailor counselling to your unique needs. In our first session Struggling can feel isolating- you may feel no one understands what you are going through. I am here to accompany you on your journey and will try to understand what life has been like for you without assumptions. I strongly believe you do not have to suffer in silence. In our first session we will explore what brought you to therapy. We will discuss how long you wish to have counselling for, your goals and expectations. I can meet you in person in my therapy rooms in Brighton or Hove. Alternatively, we can meet virtually. I can work flexibly on a short-term or long-term basis. I currently offer afternoon, evening and Saturday slots to make therapy more accessible. My Qualifications and Experience I have many years experience of working in NHS and council community mental health services. I have worked for psychotherapy centres and for charities. I have a Masters of Science (MSc) in therapeutic counselling. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy adhering to their ethical guidelines. I offer integrative therapy informed by psychodynamic, attachment-based, gestalt and existential psychotherapy. I have many years experience of offering mental health training and offering reflective practice to school staff. In addition to my clinical work I am on a doctoral program in existential psychotherapy.
