About me

I am a psychotherapist based in Manchester, working online with adults who find themselves returning to familiar patterns, navigating change, or are living with a sense that something isn't quite right. I offer a reflective, collaborative, depth-oriented approach for those who are interested in understanding themselves more fully and exploring the meaning of their experiences, alongside the difficulties they may be facing. I work exclusively online and have completed specific training in online psychotherapy as well as my core training. Working in this way allows therapy to fit more realistically alongside work, relationships, and other commitments, while also offering a consistent and thoughtful therapeutic space. My core training is in transactional analysis, a depth-oriented approach to psychotherapy that explores how early patterns of thinking, feeling and relating shape our present lives. Therapt offers an opportunity to notice how these patterns continue, particularly at times of transition or difficulty, and to explore what may be needed for change. In my work as a psychotherapist, I often support people who experience a persistent sense of discomfort, recurring relational themes or a feeling of being stuck. These experiences may show up as anxiety, stress, low mood, low confidence or difficulties in relationships. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, the work aims to understand what lies beneath these experiences, and to support meaningful, longer-term change. I value a collaborative and curious approach to therapy, and aim to offer a space where experiences can be explored and understood at a pace that is both effective and realistic within the context of everyday life.

Training and qualifications

I have specific training in Online Psychotherapy and hold a qualification with the Online Therapy Institute, which supports my work with clients in an online setting. My core psychotherapy training is in Transactional Analysis, a prolonged and in-depth training lasting four years at postgraduate level. I am a Certified Transacional Analyst in Psychotherapy (CTA-P) and a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst in Psychotherapy (PTSTA-P). which means that I am endorsed to practise, supervise and teach within this approach. Alongside my core training I have undertaken additional professional development in a range of areas that often intersect with the kind of difficulties people bring to therapy. These areas of training inform my work, rather than defining it, and support me in working thoughtfully with complexity and difference. They include: Borderline Personality Disorder Gender Identity Interpersonal Neurobiology Intersectionality Working Relationally with Couples Working Therapeutically with Neurodivergence and Invisible Difference Working with Abuse Working with Addictions Working with the Overweight Client I am committed to ongoing professional development and work with regular supervision as part of my clinical practice.
