About me
Hi, I'm Dr Kelly Dickson, an integrative psychotherapist, counsellor, and coach with a background in academia. I draw on evidence-based approaches to support people in navigating their mental health and psychosocial wellbeing, helping them lead more fulfilling lives. I currently offer online sessions on Wednesdays. Research shows that a strong therapeutic relationship—one where you feel heard and understood—is key to a successful experience. My approach is down-to-earth, sensitive, and non-judgemental. I view therapy as a collaborative process: you are the expert in your own life, and I bring expertise in therapeutic interventions. Together, we work to harness your strengths, build insight, and foster meaningful change in a safe and confidential space. I love what I do and look forward to supporting you in improving your mental health and wellbeing. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, career challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, narcissism, trauma, chronic pain, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also help with more existential or identity-related questions, such as finding meaning and aligning with your true self. If you're committed to personal growth but feel stuck or in need of support, therapy can offer the space to explore and address what’s holding you back. My goal is to enhance your quality of life by deepening self-awareness, identifying unhelpful patterns, and shifting self-defeating beliefs. I practice from an inclusive and non-discriminatory stance, considering how factors such as age, class, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, and ability shape our experiences. My approach integrates insights from both scientific and metaphysical traditions, offering a holistic and evidence-based perspective that addresses modern-day challenges. Most of all, I look forward to meeting you and working together to explore your world and the life you want to create. Dr Kelly Dickson
