About me
I work with adults who are anxious, who find it hard to stop worrying, or who have spent so long focused on what others need that they've lost touch with what they want. Sometimes people come with something specific, and sometimes it's more of a persistent feeling that something isn't right and they are not enjoying life. I also work with women going through perimenopause and menopause. The psychological and emotional changes at this stage can be significant and are often underestimated. Therapy here isn't just about managing symptoms. It can be a chance to understand yourself more clearly and make changes that matter. I work relationally, drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to you rather than applied as a programme. From July 2026 I will also be offering EMDR, an evidence-based therapy for processing difficult or distressing experiences. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right. Get in touch to arrange one.

Training and qualifications
I hold a postgraduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and I'm an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP), which means I have been formally recognised as meeting high standards of training, experience, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development. In addition to my core training I have completed further development in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and I draw on principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work. I am currently undertaking accredited EMDR training, due to be completed in July 2026. I am a member of a monthly CPD peer consultation group and engage in regular clinical supervision.
