About me
Many of the people I work with are managing well on the outside, holding down jobs, caring for others and keeping things together. But underneath, they're anxious, hard on themselves and exhausted. Often they've spent years putting other people first, struggling with self-criticism, or feeling like they're never quite doing enough. Therapy offers a space to understand what has shaped these patterns and to find a different way of responding to yourself and your life. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, people-pleasing, self-criticism and low self-worth. I also work with women who feel like they have lost themselves - including those going through the emotional and psychological changes of perimenopause and menopause I am primarily a relational therapist, drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I don't offer a fixed programme, I work with you as an individual. From July 2026 I will also be offering EMDR, an evidence-based therapy for processing difficult or distressing experiences. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right. Get in touch to arrange one.

Training and qualifications
I hold a postgraduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and I'm an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP), which means I have been formally recognised as meeting high standards of training, experience, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development. In addition to my core training I have completed further development in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and I draw on principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work. I am currently undertaking accredited EMDR training, due to be completed in July 2026. I am a member of a monthly CPD peer consultation group and engage in regular clinical supervision.
