About Me

Are you heartbroken, sad, lost, anxious, stuck? Perhaps you are navigating a transition, that comes with difficult and unwelcome feelings through a relationship ending, bereavement, a quarter or mid-life threshold, menopause, getting older.  Maybe you want to explore your identity and who you really are and this might feel risky. Maybe you yearn for change, but it eludes you.

I work looking for your little voice, gut instinct, intuition, that has for so long been overlaid or silenced by guilt, shame, anger, anxiety and other things which might include people pleasing (even when you don’t want to).

Understanding yourself well can open up possibilities of choice, of finally doing things differently, of feeling free enough to to make decisions based on your own feelings and experience. Bringing more of your authentic self to relationships opens you up to ones that are deeper and more fulfilling.

An experienced counsellor - I bring warmth and empathy, humour and challenge. Working with me is a deepening journey into soul; a discovery of your own knowing and wisdom. We go at your pace, working towards a fuller understanding of how you are in in the world, through a renewed connection to self.

Alongside being attentive to your personal story, I work soulfully, meaning attending to things that don’t necessarily make sense but more than likely have something to say. The invitation is here to work with images, dreams, hunches, flights of fancy. The unconscious expresses itself in different and less obvious ways and can offer up a richer and knowing part of who you are, and the potential within you.

The foundation of my therapeutic work is based on a relationship of compassion, trust and respect.

And I work relationally.  This is working within the professional boundaries looking at how we impact each other.  This awareness can help you to gain insight into how you are in the world, how you are impacted by others and how you view the world and your relationships.

I welcome you in your uniqueness. Whether you are questioning who you are. And whatever your sexuality or gender identity, ethnicity, heritage, disability, social class, you are welcome to contact me.

I practice online (Zoom) and face to face (Brighton)
