Couples psychotherapistAbout Me
Hello and welcome to my profile. I am an experienced psychotherapist, offering psychotherapy and relationship counselling to individuals and couples. I firmly believe that the quality of our relationships are key to our emotional wellbeing and how we engage with others. I aim to provide a neutral, consistent and non-judgemental space where we can work together to explore the emotional issues that you are facing in your relationship, whether that be with a partner, parent or with a colleague.
I bring a thoughtful, curious and supportive approach to my work and am committed to helping all clients, no matter how big or small your problems may seem.
Clients usually come to relationship counselling and psychotherapy with the following difficulties: Communication issues including conflict and anger, lack of intimacy and sexual problems, infidelity and trust issues, divorce and separation, parenting issues, infertility, depression and anxiety, work stress, redundancy, retirement, addictions and many more.
Problems within a relationship are usually complicated and often stem from past experiences and challenges as well as current situations. The aim of relationship therapy is to create an awareness and understanding of the problems affecting the relationship and together we explore both the past and present in order to bring about change. Couples who come together learn to open up communication between them so that they can understand the underlying issues and find an agreed way forward.
I also work with individuals who want to explore and understand past or current relationships that may have been a difficult, unsatisfactory or unhappy, or to explore why intimate relationships seem so difficult and elusive.
Currently weekly sessions take place online via zoom. I also work from a comfortable, safe and confidential environment in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. I work with clients from all cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
