About me

About Me Counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been managing things alone for some time. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or unsure where to turn next. I believe you deserve a safe and supportive space to talk and make sense of things. I’m Jenny, an experienced, warm and grounded counsellor and supervisor. For over 16 years, I’ve supported adults and young people to feel better, cope better, and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. My approach is compassionate and collaborative with the aim of helping you feel understood, respected and supported at every stage. How I Work I’m an integrative counsellor, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. My core foundation is person-centred, helping you reconnect with your own insight and inner strength, while integrating other approaches to deepen understanding and promote emotional regulation and resilience. I offer a gentle, respectful process. Together we'll explore what’s happening for you, at your pace, to help you develop awareness, self-compassion and practical ways to manage challenges more confidently. I offer a calm, understanding space to help you make sense of your experiences and develop ways to cope, grow and rebuild trust in yourself. Areas of Experience I work with adults and young people (15+) and I support many issues as detailed further down. My particular interests are trauma, no matter how small, and ADHD, and how these can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships and self-esteem. Sessions I offer a free 15–20 minute introductory call so you can get a feel for how I work and decide if we might be a good fit. Sessions are one hour and are available: -In person in Sale, Manchester -Online or phone -Walk-and-talk sessions (conditions permitting) Booking confirmations and reminders are provided to help you plan and stay on track. I undertake regular supervision, peer support, and continuous professional development to ensure safe, ethical and effective practice. Client Feedback “Jenny instantly put me at ease. She was integral in improving my mental health this year, and I would definitely recommend her.” “A compassionate counsellor who made it easy for me to open up and feel understood.”
