About me
Come and talk. What’s going on for you? What’s working and what might be getting in the way? We’ll look at how you come to be where you are in life and how you live now. Our conversations will be reflective yet always with an eye to options and possibilities. I work with individuals and couples. I like conversations about life. I’m good at generating ideas for responding to all sorts of life- and work-related situations. I pay attention. I am warm, alert, attentive, chatty, quiet, responsive, focused on living within the constraints that we all have but without those that we no longer need or were never ours in the first place. I’m interested in you, in what you want, need, feel, fear and imagine. I can’t fix you. You don’t need fixing. But if want to join in with me and with this process, I can offer you the time, attention, ideas, techniques, interest and care that might help you to help yourself feel greater agency in your life. I have over 30 years’ experience of working with individuals and groups in the legal and commercial world as a coach, mediator and trainer. I have a good understanding of the pressures and challenges that many of us experience in those sorts of contexts. I am trained and experienced in existential, integrative, humanistic, psychodynamic, somatic, neural plasticity and hypno therapies. That’s some of what I bring when we work together. Psychotherapy and coaching sit at either end of a spectrum. Either approach enables you to address the issues that excite, challenge, concern or inhibit you. People who work with me may select a preferred approach, knowing that they can move back and forth along the spectrum as our work progresses, according to their needs. The confidentiality, regularity and routine of our meetings provide for you to think deeply about whatever emerges, to see more clearly and to choose what next. With couples, I take a mediation approach and aim to keep a focus on adjustments that can be made within the relationship. I see people either online or in central London, whichever is more convenient or preferred.
