About me

If you feel unseen, anxious, depressed, angry or misunderstood, you do not have to deal with it alone. I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where we can explore what it is like to be you. I am also flexible about finding the right approach to help you reach your goals. If you notice that you repeatedly default to behaviours that don’t reflect who you really are, psychotherapy is a safe place to explore new ways of being in the world. If you have suffered trauma of any kind, you may carry unresolved feelings of anger, anxiety, shame, guilt and other repressed feelings and emotions. These can have a physiological impact on the body that lasts long after the trauma took place. Uncomfortable feelings, intrusive thoughts, and memories, when triggered, can come up out of nowhere, leaving you feeling frozen, anxious, wanting to run away or overwhelmed, to name a few examples. This all gets in the way of living your life as you would like in the here and now. I can help you understand how your mind and body work together to bring you new insights that can help release you from this cycle. Without re-visiting the original events and re-traumatising you, we can explore how to reduce the impact of what the trauma has left behind. I also work with adolescents and adults with neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD and Asperger’s. Whether you suspect you may be neurodiverse or have had a diagnosis (including late in life), we can explore what it has been like for you to live in a neurotypical world. If you are finding that you’ve outgrown the strategies you always relied on to fit in and cope, we can reflect on way to make things work more comfortably for you going forward. www.humanbeinghumanmoving.com
