Chris Hind
Relational psychotherapistAbout Me
Trust, respect, warmth and compassion are the core foundations of my therapeutic approach, creating a strong alliance to explore whatever you choose to bring to your therapy at a pace that feels right for you. I have over 20 years experience working in community based mental health, engaging with a wide range of issues. One of my particular areas of expertise is identifying how early personal experiences can negatively influence relationship patterns later in life and assisting in developing a way forward that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
As an ally of feminist, LGBTQ+ and BLM movements both professionally and personally I value the diverse experience of people from all cultures, backgrounds, sexualities and gender identities. I am familiar with the external stresses our society can exert and have extensive experience of working with people often living on the fringes of society be it through persecution, marginalisation, displacement, alternative lifestyles, creative pursuits and professions or off grid living. I also have particular interest and insight into the increasing influence technology has on our lives, the role creativity and imagination can play in supporting psychological and emotional wellbeing, and the challenges posed by being male in the modern world.
I believe it is vital that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and to help my clients make an empowered and well informed decision I offer a free initial consultation meeting online to discuss your specific needs and the possibility of me working with you.
