Ann Davis
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
I bring 10 years of experience in psychotherapy, offering sensitivity, choice, and compassion to my clients. With two master's degrees in psychotherapy and specialised training in Internal Family Systems, I am dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, and develop new and practical coping strategies for life's challenges.
My passion lies in helping individuals connect to their own internal wisdom, and I prioritise building a strong therapeutic alliance to empower clients on their healing and self-discovery journeys. To ensure I provide the best care, I actively engage in ongoing professional development and supervision, staying informed about research and methodologies in psychotherapy.
Finding the right psychotherapist for you can feel confusing and overwhelming when you’re most in need. I offer a free initial meeting so you can find out if we feel like a good fit. If you’re looking for support on your healing journey, I invite you to reach out.

I work collaboratively with you to identify your aims for therapy and I tailor my approach to meet your needs, focussing more or less on:
- symptom reduction

- body based regulation and trauma work
- working with metaphor, imagination and images to deepen self-expression, self-understanding and to see new perspectives
To do this I draw from a range of established evidence based models including Internal Family Systems, neurobiology, attachment theory, psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness and trauma theory.
Experience:
I have worked in the NHS, in private clinics and the third sector. I have experience in community mental health, adult psychiatry, palliative care and working with children in schools. I have run psychotherapy groups as well as working with individuals in various settings. I have specialist experience with eating disorders from my work in a London NHS inpatient hospital, at a London private outpatient clinic and in my private practice.
