About me

Hello! I am a fully qualified trauma-informed Biodynamic Massage Therapist. From an early age I was a dancer so having a feeling for my body and expressing myself through my body is something innate. Biodynamic Massage Therapy allows me to integrate all the learnings I have accumulated from different facets of my life and to offer something unique to clients in my care. Early career in corporate and organisation consulting experiences enable me to fully understand the impact of highly pressurised and stressful environments on individuals. My training in Gestalt Psychotherapy and clinical experience in counselling increases my capacity to hold a broad range of issues and circumstances. In addition, I also bring 20+ years of facilitating personal development through structured workshop intensives. The thread that runs through all these experiences is a deep sense of compassion and a genuine desire to enable all of us to live, grow and move forward in life. Biodynamic Massage Therapy is non-invasive and is integrative. I focus and tune into what is happening in your body, moment by moment and I respond by using different quality, depth and method of touch. This process can help you and your body to rest, let go, unblock, awaken and flow. It is not unusual for different areas and layers of your body to require different things. Much of what happens in us happens outside of conscious control although learned behaviours often contribute to unique physiological coping patterns . By attending and responding with care, your body feels reassured and safe, and this feeling often opens up many possibilities for learning and growth beyond simply relieving your symptoms. In each session you can stay dressed or you can undress to your level of comfort. A unique aspect of the Biodynamic approach is we can listen to your body’s reactions via a stethoscope attached to a little speaker. Recent research describe the gut as our second brain, so the sounds of your body not only provide an added dimension to your therapeutic experience, they can also act as a source of guidance for how to progress within each session. Biodynamic Massage Therapy is particularly well-suited for: ·        -  stress-related conditions, ·        -  chronic conditions and illnesses, ·        -  recovery, ·        -  post-recovery and ·        -  persistent, recurring or mysterious health incidents.   After your first session, we will agree an appropriate frequency and number of sessions depending on what you need. Currently I have weekly, fortnightly and monthly clients on an ongoing basis. Biodynamic Massage Therapy works well as a stand-alone therapy and as a complementary therapy.
