Amanda Strang

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, providing in person sessions from my (first floor) rooms at Purley CR8 and Bethnal Green E2. I have over 10 years’ experience of working with people experiencing a broad range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, and conflicts in their personal and professional relationships. Before establishing my private practice, I provided psychotherapy in NHS units, including working with women survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and as a counsellor for a bereavement charity. I offer a secure and confidential environment in which to explore your difficulties, and to establish a treatment plan that would be specific to your needs. I draw upon psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches. The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet, and for you to find out how I work and ask me any questions. We may meet for more than one consultation to get to know each other, and to make decisions about the best way forward for you.
