Psychosynthesis counsellorAbout Me
About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to a warm space where your unique story is valued and your journey towards self-discovery and growth is supported. I’m Alessandra, a compassionate Brazilian therapist with a deep commitment to embracing the full spectrum of human diversity—whether it’s age, gender, sexual identity, belief systems, abilities, ethnicity, or cultural background. In my practice, I approach every client with an open heart and mind, free from preconceptions, ensuring that you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Since 2017, I have been actively working in various settings, including education, charities, and NHS environments. This rich experience has not only deepened my expertise but also enhanced my ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and diverse communities. My background in these fields has significantly enriched my knowledge and skills, allowing me to offer a well-rounded and informed approach to therapy.
My Approach
Central to my therapeutic approach is Psychosynthesis, a powerful and integrative method that goes beyond traditional therapy. This approach considers the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—helping you explore the deeper layers of your identity, uncover your life’s purpose, and tap into your full potential. Whether you're wrestling with internal conflicts, navigating life transitions, or seeking greater self-awareness, Psychosynthesis offers a pathway to a more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling life.
First session
Before our first session, I'll send you a questionnaire to gather some background information and understand the issues you'd like to explore. This helps me gain a broad sense of you and your needs before we begin. Please return the completed questionnaire at least two days before our first session, so I have time to read it.
Location
I offer therapy both in-person, at my private practice in North London , or online via Zoom , making it accessible no matter where you are in the world. Sessions are 50 minutes long, typically conducted on a weekly basis, and can be structured as either short-term or long-term depending on your goals.
For those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language, I’m also fluent in Portuguese and offer therapy in this language.
