About me

By working online, I am able to keep my prices low and my schedule flexible, to ensure I am as accessible as possible for the benefit of my clients. I can help support adults across the UK with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, bereavement, addiction, abuse, low self-esteem, and more. My somatic training allows me to offer a more embodied approach to traditional talking therapy, which touches in to my clients' felt sensations and imaginations, as well as their thoughts and emotions. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Psychodynamic and Person-centred Counselling and a Level 5 Certificate in Working Somatically with Trauma in Therapeutic Practise, both accredited through CPCAB. Before focusing on my adult client work, I also gained 7 years experience in supporting young people's mental health in education, using therapeutic techniques like EFT (Tapping), Mindfulness and Drawing and Talking.

Training and qualifications

Online somatically-informed integrative counselling aims to promote healing across mind, body and soul. I use my somatic training to help clients notice what is happening underneath their thoughts and conceptual feelings, encouraging them to be curious around how these show up in the body. We pay attention to the signals of the nervous system, touching in to sensations and playing with movement safely, gradually learning to trust the bodies' own healing process, releasing what may be stuck. We can also bring in the imagination through creative visualizations, to grow empowerment and create new ways of being. Also trained in psychodynamic therapy, I can help my clients link their embodied experiences to their unconscious ways of being, bringing light into the shadows. Gently, and with compassion, creating more understanding and insight around instinctive patterns which may have begun early-on in life, affecting relationships and beliefs in the present. Lastly, trained in the person-centred approach, I strive to work collaboratively, led by my clients. Offering warmth and respect at all times, helping them to rediscover a self which is authentic, loved and understood. I am also trained in other somatic and creative therapeutic approaches, like EFT (Tapping), Mindfulness and Drawing and Talking.
