About me
A Space to Understand the "Why" Many of us move through life feeling like we are following a script we didn't write. You might notice yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, feeling stuck in the same anxieties, or sensing that something from your past is casting a shadow over your present. My Approach I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, which means I believe our earliest experiences and our unconscious mind play a profound role in how we navigate the world today. But beyond the theory, I am a collaborator. My role is to provide a consistent, safe, and non-judgmental space where we can look beneath the surface together. In our sessions, we won’t just focus on "fixing" symptoms; we will look at the roots. By understanding the origins of your internal world, we create the opportunity for real, lasting change—not just a temporary shift in mood, but a deeper sense of self-awareness and freedom. Why Work With Me? Therapy is a deeply personal investment, and the "fit" between therapist and client is the most important factor in your progress. I bring a warm, grounded, and curious presence to my work. I have particular experience in: Navigating Identity: Exploring the intersections of race, culture, and gender. Relational Patterns: Understanding why we connect (or disconnect) the way we do. The Unspoken: Giving a voice to the feelings that have felt too heavy or complex to name. Professional Background I am a BACP registered therapist with a Masters (MSc) in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck University London. I've managed a mental health team at University College London, worked at Waterloo Community Counselling, within an NHS multidisciplinary team working with survivors of child sexual abuse and a men’s residential unit which delivers personalised support for men with complex mental health needs. My practice is informed by psychoanalytic theory including attachment theory, ensuring that our work is culturally sensitive and attuned to the unique pressures of your life.
