About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward — emotionally, in your relationships, or in your family life? You may be someone who usually copes well, but lately the pressure feels heavier. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, parenting challenges, cultural transitions, burnout, trauma, or a difficult moment of change, you don’t have to do this alone. I’m Giulia Schembri, an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Family Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in Italy, the UK, Australia, and international school communities worldwide. I specialise in supporting expatriates, globally mobile families, and Third Culture Kids, as well as adults facing anxiety, panic, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and painful emotional patterns that seem to repeat. My therapeutic style is warm, grounded, culturally sensitive, and based on evidence-informed approaches including CBT, EMDR, DBT skills, systemic family therapy, trauma-focused interventions, and parent-coaching frameworks such as Triple P. I offer therapy in English, Italian, and French, and I work daily with clients who live abroad, travel frequently, or feel “between worlds”. If you are carrying too much, if you are tired of feeling anxious, disconnected, or guilty, or if you want to understand yourself — and your relationships — with more clarity and compassion, therapy can help you find a calmer, stronger, more centred version of yourself. People who work with me often tell me: “I finally feel understood.” “I learned how to stop overthinking and breathe again.” “For the first time, I feel less alone.” My goal is to help you move from survival mode to a place of confidence, emotional regulation, and meaningful connection — both with yourself and with the people you care about. If what you’ve read resonates, I would be happy to support you. You’re welcome to reach out for a first conversation.
