About me
I know how daunting the idea of starting counselling can be, you've tried to manage on your own for so long. It can feel exhausting holding it all in, feeling like you have to keep it all together. Counselling doesn't mean you have failed at that, it means you are ready for a change. Together we will work gently to help you to understand yourself better, create a way of being that feels less heavy and instead feels lighter and more manageable. You may be wondering what are sessions actually look like; they are a space where you can talk freely. You don't need to know what you're going to bring or say, we'll start wherever you feel comfortable and go at your own pace. My role is to actively listen and to make sure that you won't be doing this alone, I'll walk alongside you. I will help you to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours, to help you find your own solutions. I have experience of working with a diverse range of clients, in different settings, providing me with an understanding of an array of different needs, issues and struggles. In particular, I have both professional and personal experience of living with neurodiversity and ensure that my sessions are sympathetic and personally tailored. I recognise that each of my clients is unique and therefore the counselling should fit around everyones individual needs and pace.
