About me
I am a pluralistic counsellor meaning that my support for you can be adapted based on what you bring and what you need, whether that is more targeted and immediate relief from negative thoughts or a slower paced space to enable you to really be heard and let go of your emotions surrounding your past. I believe that the purpose of therapy is to give you faith and understanding in yourself so you are then prepared to face things as they may come up in the future. To enable this I can offer you a supportive, empathetic and non judgemental space, where you can speak freely and say whatever you need to. There can be a huge amount of power in understanding ourselves and giving us the opportunity to reclaim our own agency in approaching the future. I have worked with a range of different difficulties that people can experience, in particular, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, relationship issues, self esteem and confidence, trauma and domestic abuse. My approach is to work with you to enable you to fully process everything that you have experienced, and create a sense of calm in facing things as they come up in the future. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact me for a FREE 30 minute consultation.
