About me
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with a first degree in psychology and a doctorate in existential psychotherapy. My academic research on crossdressing delves into issues such as sexuality, gender, identity and their connection with existential themes such as being, inauthenticity, lack of freedom and meaning. This is also reflected in my private practice, where I typically work with individuals at the intersection of social class, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, race/ethnicity, faith, and disability, as well as the social, personal, and political contexts in which my clients find themselves. Neurodiversity Whether you identify as neurodivergent or not, there are a multitude of struggles surrounding fitting in within the normative and neurotypical ways of being that can be expressed, explored and worked on. The therapy hour will be adapted to your sensory needs and processing style. The ultimate therapeutic goal will be to empower you to create a life that aligns with your authentic self. LGBTQIA+ Wherever you are on the LGBTQAI+ spectrum, or at the margins of it, you will be welcomed and accepted as you are. I use gender-affirming approaches tailored to your needs, whether that is for healing, growth or self-acceptance. I am open to working with non-monogamy, polyamory, Kink, BDSM, sex-work, chemsex, HIV, public cruising, asexuality and celibacy. I also welcome working with clients pre/post or questioning transition, self-identified crossdressers, trans and non-binary, and any other non-Western forms of self-identification. My approach I am quite open and easy to talk to, and I think I do well with people who are nervous about coming to therapy, who find it hard to open up or who have unusual issues that cause them shame. I prefer to work in a flexible, client-centred and integrative manner, drawing from different approaches, depending on your needs and preferences. I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, understood and listened to. Therapy begins by learning who and how you are, so that collaboratively we can shape ways in which you can grow, heal and change. Get in touch if you have any questions or would like to organise an introductory session.
