About me

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I work with a Person-Centred approach and integrate CBT into the therapy sessions. This supports clients to understand their thoughts and feelings and to achieve their goals and a happier way of being. In therapy sessions, I provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a none judgmental environment. With Person Centred therapy the back bone of my approach , I also incorporate CBT and solution focused therapy into the sessions if this is required by you, the client. This ensures we work with the best tools so you to get the most out of your therapy for your individual needs. The most important part to any therapeutic working relationship is to create and build a trusting and equal relationship between myself and my client. From building this foundation, I have experienced clients feel understood and safe, they feel able to voice their thoughts and feelings they may have not been able to say to others and at times, even to themselves. Do you feel like you’re at a crossroads? Is it difficult to talk to family or friends about how you are feeling? Are you feeling like you need some extra support? If this sounds familiar to you, counselling help’s by offering a space solely dedicated for you to speak freely to an impartial person and helping to gain an understanding of the ‘why’ behind everything, whilst knowing it is a confidential and none judgmental safe space. Mental health and resilience can be difficult to maintain, any form of life stressors can all have a profound and varying effect not only on our mental but physical health as well. I’ve worked with clients who have brought a whole range of issues; including anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, abuse and bereavement. Client’s feedback I have received is that, by me exploring and developing a deep understanding of the individual, by working together to understand the underpinning issues, challenging these stressors by working with them, gives people the opportunity to learn, grow and live a more balanced life.
