About me
Many people come to therapy because they’re caring for others and quietly struggling themselves. You might feel stretched, overwhelmed, resentful, guilty, or emotionally drained. Some people don’t think of themselves as “carers” at all, they just know they’re holding too much and need space to make sense of it. Sessions are a place to slow things down and talk openly, without pressure or judgement. We focus on what’s happening for you now, make sense of patterns that feel stuck, and spend time with the emotions that need space, as well as exploring what may help going forward. I offer a calm, thoughtful and practical approach to therapy. Our work together focuses on helping you understand what’s happening for you and find ways forward that feel realistic and sustainable for you. My therapy is about finding clarity, steadiness, and support that fits your life as it actually is. I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I tailor our work to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on what you’re dealing with, this may include exploring emotions and changes in family relationships, including shifts in roles, expectations and boundaries, alongside working with unhelpful thought patterns and reducing overwhelm. Sessions are collaborative, paced carefully, and shaped around what feels most helpful for you. I work with people experiencing ongoing stress, burnout, anxiety, low mood, guilt, grief, changing relationships, family tensions, and the impact of long-term responsibility for others. Many clients are often balancing care responsibilities alongside work, parenting, or complex family dynamics, and feel unsure how to cope without losing themselves. Alongside my therapy training, I bring extensive professional experience in organisational and people development. This often resonates with clients who feel responsible for everyone else, who may struggle to set boundaries, or feel pressure to keep functioning even when they’re exhausted. If you’re looking for a steady, supportive space to talk things through and explore what support could look like for you, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Training and qualifications
I have a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, a BACP-accredited course which involved extensive clinical practice, supervision, and in-depth personal development work. Integrative training means I’m able to draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to you, rather than fitting you into a single model. Alongside my core psychotherapy training, I’ve completed further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is particularly helpful for people dealing with long-term stress, difficult emotions, changing life circumstances, and situations that can’t easily be “fixed”. It supports you to relate differently to thoughts and feelings, while staying connected to what matters to you. I'm trained in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), including an accredited course. CFT is particularly helpful for people who struggle with self-criticism, guilt, shame, or feeling they should be coping better than they are. It brings a kind, steady framework for understanding emotional responses shaped by stress, responsibility and life experiences. Very relevant for those caring for others. I’ve also trained in therapeutic breathwork, which can be helpful for clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, tense, or stuck in a constant state of pressure. This work supports people to gently settle their body during sessions when talking alone feels too much, always used carefully and only where appropriate. I’m also an accredited Interpersonal Mediator, registered with the International Mediation Institute (IMI). This background is especially valuable when working with family tensions, changing roles, communication difficulties, and situations where relationships feel strained or stuck. It allows me to support clients in understanding patterns, boundaries, and dynamics, not just individual distress. In addition, I’m trained and experienced as a coach, which means I’m comfortable working at the intersection of reflection and forward movement when that’s helpful. Therapy with me can include space for emotional processing as well as thoughtful exploration of choices, boundaries, and next steps, always guided by what you need. My combined background in psychotherapy, mediation and coaching offers a grounded, relational and flexible way of working, particularly for people who are carrying responsibility for others and need support that reflects the complexity of their lives.
