About me
I believe counselling provides an opportunity for you to reconnect with who you really are, fostering greater confidence, resilience and self-awareness. My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor our work to your unique needs by drawing from different but complementary therapeutic models. This allows us to look holistically at what may be holding you back and find new ways of relating to yourself and others. I work with warmth, empathy and curiosity, offering a non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I will support you with compassion in processing painful or difficult experiences which can be both transformative and healing. I can also work with you to promote an enhanced mind-body connection. Through our work together I hope to enable you to develop the tools and insights needed to make choices that feel right for you. My relational approach also means that the relationship between us will be integral to the work, ultimately aiding in both healing and change. I have worked with clients facing a range of challenges, including: ✔ Anxiety, depression, and panic attacks ✔ Low self-esteem and self-worth ✔ Work-related stress and burnout ✔ Relationship difficulties and emotional abuse ✔ Life transitions, mid-life concerns, carer and parenting struggles ✔ Loss and bereavement ✔ The impact of shame and self-criticism Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 15 years working in the public sector, so I understand the unique pressures faced by those in healthcare, social care, and the NHS. If you’d like to explore how we might work together, please get in touch.
