About me
Some people come to therapy with specific issues they want to address; others arrive with a more general feeling that life isn’t quite as it should be. Everyone is welcome. Our first focus will be developing a shared understanding of how therapy can support you and what you hope to gain from the process. We’ll aim to uncover what in your current life might be getting in the way. We’ll look at your patterns of relating to others and to yourself. Finding the words to tell your story can be an act of renewal. In speaking about our lives, bringing the full depth of our lived experience into the open, our past and sedimented ways of being can become the raw material for new beginnings. My style is open and collaborative. You talk and I listen, and we pay attention to what comes up. I aim to create a space where clients feel truly safe to share, no matter how difficult or hard-to-express their experiences may be. I believe therapy is a real relationship, built on mutual trust and respect, but it’s also held within the careful, purposeful boundaries that make this work unique.
