About me

Hi I'm Mary she/her , I'm passionate about supporting people with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and relationship issues. I run an inclusive practice, which means I am culturally sensitive, I am LBGTQIA+ allied and GSRD affirmative. Is your mind constantly racing, worrying whether you said or did the right thing- Are you always wondering if people like you- Do you find yourself stewing on whether you made the right decision- do you have a habit of beating yourself up when you feel like you've got something wrong and find it hard to let go of things- Perhaps you find it hard to stand up for yourself- Or have difficulty saying no to people, and going along with things to avoid conflict- It's exhausting isn't it! I can help. Life can be so overwhelming sometimes, we can feel like we don't want to be here. I volunteered with Samaritans for many years so I am experienced in helping people who feel suicidal. You don't have to be alone. I would be honoured to sit beside you in whatever you're going through. I'm guessing you're on my page because you're fed up and want something to change. I can help you reduce your overthinking, leading to less anxiety. Together, we can find tools tailored to your particular situation to help you stop the negative self-talk and build your confidence. Your self-belief will increase meaning you won't worry as much. I'll help you calm your mind, so you can start to relax and enjoy your life and your relationships. Find out more at marymulherin.com For Couples Are you worrying whether you're meant to be together- Wondering if you've run out of things to say to each other- Is sex causing issues in your relationship and you're not sure how to deal with it- By working with me I can help you explore the issues in your relationship and the underlying issues that are impacting how you relate to each other. We can explore your thoughts, feelings and fears in a safe environment so you can decide together what you would like going forward.  Whether you come together or as one part of a couple or group, we can work out what you need and want and how to get it. Email me at [email protected] to book a FREE 30 minute consultation to see if we'd like to work together.   Other benefits from working with me: You will become more confident, happy and content with life. You will become more aware. You will become more present in the moment allowing you to pause, reflect and respond in a considered way. You will learn to give self compassion when times are hard and that will allow you to meet the challenges you face. You will be able to trust your judgement, allowing you to trust others in turn. You will feel grounded and more in control of yourself and your life. You will feel confident in your relationships with others. You will be able to ask for what you want and need in relationships and friendships.

Training and qualifications

My core training is Transactional Analysis which focuses on improving your relationship with self and others. I am affiliated with UKCP and UKATA and abide by their code of ethics. I have found my calling in life! It is such a privilege to hear people's stories and support them on their healing journey. It is the most precious feeling to see my clients thrive, achieve their goals and pursue the lives they've dreamed of. I studied for 3 years at the renowned Metanoia Institute and I am now diversifying my study at TA East. Where there is more emphasis on diversity, inclusion and social justice. I recently completed a 12 week course in mindfulness. I am also an accomplished Yogi. I am interested in how we experience our emotions within our bodies. I believe our bodies hold all our life experiences. I enjoy working with somatic experiences and mindfulness in the room. I work to heal the mind/body divide so you can live and experience your life fully. In my previous working life I was a Grade A Qualified Driving Instructor and before that a Chartered Legal Executive. I am experienced in supporting a diverse range of people in a variety of situations.
