About me

Hi and welcome. You may have landed on this page because something isn’t feeling right. Life can be challenging and, often, we are not taught how to deal with difficulties and emotions. There’s no shame in finding support beyond our friends and family–someone who’s not only a good listener, but also skilled in providing a space where healing and change can occur. As a compassionate, trauma-sensitive therapist, I have experience in helping people navigate life’s challenges, exploring what matters most to them, and supporting individuals in making changes and moving forward. I am committed to your wellbeing, and offer a supportive and empathic environment where you can explore issues without judgement. No emotion, thought, or part of you is unacceptable in the process–everything can be an opportunity to bring understanding and to offer yourself compassion. I believe that the quality of the relationship we forge together is fundamental to the work we do, and see therapy as a collaborative relationship. Together, we can: • gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your problems by exploring your needs, motivations and behaviours • integrate past and present experiences • identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and patterns • work through difficult emotions • strengthen your relationship to yourself and others I work integratively, meaning that I’m trained in lots of different modalities, and tailor my approach to suit your specific needs. I take the view that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, and because every person is unique, therapy should adapt to each individual. I also work holistically, seeing you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and addressing the interplay of these aspects in your life, as well as exploring external and internal factors. It is important to me that you feel able to choose the way we work together, at your own pace and in a way that respects your autonomy. I offer both short-term or open-ended counselling for adults (18+) online, and I can also offer therapy from a Christian perspective. _ My work is also deeply informed by my own healing journey. I know from experience, how long and complex the journey of mental health can be, and this has deepened my empathy for others going through hardship. I know finding the right therapist can be daunting, and that’s why I offer a free introductory chat, where we can discuss what is bringing you to therapy, and to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you. I look forward to hearing your story.
