About me
Hi, I'm Abi. Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a Mental Health Advisor, where I learned that many people simply want to be heard. This understanding continues to shape my person-centred approach, which values empathy, authenticity, and acceptance. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and free to explore their experiences at their own pace. In Cornish, 'klewes' means to 'hear; feel; sense; perceive'. I believe people are not problems to be fixed but individuals with the capacity for growth and self-understanding. My role is to be alongside clients as they build self-awareness, develop trust, and move toward their own goals. Drawing on my background in Psychology, I take a holistic approach, integrating emotional support with psychoeducation and practical tools where appropriate. Above all, I see counselling as a collaborative, human process that nurtures change through understanding and acceptance. As a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered practitioner, I am dedicated to providing compassionate support to individuals facing a variety of challenges. I am insured and attend regular CPD and supervision sessions. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
