There are many reasons people may go to see a therapist; some have an immediate problem that they need to talk through, others may wish to explore their childhood or past relationships.

We asked author and psychotherapist Philippa Perry to outline a few reasons why someone might see a therapist. You can watch this short video here; and if anything resonates with you, perhaps you can try our questionnaire and be matched with the therapists and counsellors best suited to support you.
