Sandra Cregg
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
My name is Sandra Cregg and I am a professionally qualified and BACP Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist. I have over six years’ experience in providing confidential, short and longer term one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy for adults and teenagers within various settings, including the NHS, Relate, and local charities such as The Counselling Partnership and Off The Record, Twickenham. In addition to my private practice, I currently work at a local secondary school where I provide counselling for young people aged from 11 to 18 years old.
When counselling, I work using an Integrative approach, which just means I can bring different ideas into our work together, giving you a greater choice when trying to work out what’s happened to you and why. I am also able to use creative techniques such as art materials, sand tray and puppets whenever appropriate and only if you feel it's right for you. Sometimes being creative provides the possibility of greater understanding if talking therapy becomes too difficult for whatever reason. And the more you are able to understand, the better chance you have of being able to change and move forward.
I believe it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client that is the most important factor in how successful counselling will be and so it is really important to me that you are able to experience me as someone who can provide a warm, respectful and accepting relationship without judgement or criticism.
