What is BWRT®?
‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist Terence Watts, MCGI. It’s a totally confidential method that doesn’t require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and is carried out in a completely conscious state. It doesn’t use hypnosis or any mystical concepts – it’s completely logical, practical, and down-to-earth. You only need to know what you want to change in your life for it to be completely successful. Only bonafide BWRT practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. You can find out more at www.bwrt.org
BWRT® is a fast therapy, depending on the presenting issue, a client's problems can often be resolved in a few sessions, complex problems however can take longer. It is a private therapy that will not require you to over analyse painful or sensitive memories. BWRT works by changing the neural pathways in our brain, this completely safe and natural technique creates a new response pattern to any stimulus in the brain so that the action the brain triggers is the one we want! By changing the patterns in our brain we can change our perception of the world and our behaviour in it. It works to resolve many mind issues such as
- Anxiety
- Phobias, Fears
- Depression
- Fear of Failure
- Low self esteem
- Binge Eating and Drinking
- Performance Anxiety
- Self-worth and Self-confidence Issues
- goal setting
- Relationship Issues
- Grief
- Post -Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Imposter Syndrome
About Jenny Di Fabio Advanced Practitioner:
After a successful 30-year career in public service, my strong interest in psychology and the workings of the human mind led me to pursue a career in therapy. I enjoy immensely working with people and having the opportunity to help resolve client issues. I am an advanced BWRT therapist, having trained in both Level 1 General Psychotherapy and Level 2 The Psychology of identity and behaviour under Terence Watts, the founder of BWRT. I take a keen interest in the developments of neuroscience and I ‘am an Accredited Member of The Institute of Brain Working Recursive Therapy MIBWRT(Acc.), which is at the forefront of future therapy research and analysis. As a therapist, I aim to place my clients at ease, working towards focused, sustainable results. I have had extensive experience of working with people in trauma and in my role as a trained hostage negotiator I have dealt with people in the depths of crisis. I am also trained as a family liaison officer and have dealt with the bereaved for over 15 years. From 2018-2020 I was the national lead for family liaison for road deaths in the UK. I hold full professional liability insurance.
I am based in south London, however the nature of BWRT®means that it is accessible to everyone. Sessions can be conducted either in person or via Zoom, Skype, Facetime or the phone.
