Fiona Davis-Coleman
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
The core of my approach is person-centred. We are all unique and the relationship between me and my client has a foundation of respect for the individual. There is non-judgemental acceptance and an honest and authentic approach to the work we do together.
I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Psychodynamic philosophy to inform my approach. In my experience the power of the relationship between therapist and client is where real and sustainable personal growth occurs. Clients are able to explore their difficulties in a safe environment, which while at times hard work and challenging, can lead to a fulfilling, trusting and rewarding relationship and a truly healing experience.
Working with an empathic and compassionate therapist helps us to see how we unconsciously repeat patterns of behaviour. Even talking about these patterns can bring about change and growth. It is often the case that it is the first time that many people will have been listened to and heard in this way.
