About Me

"Helping you to help yourself" Face-to-Face, online and telephone counselling service offered -£50 per hour session. WhatsApp, Zoom and telephone platforms used depending on client's preference.
Are you feeling troubled, distressed or even confused by relationship difficulties, life transitions, crises, helplessness, grief, isolation, anxiety, depression or loss of direction? Talking to a professional counsellor in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment can enable you to understand yourself better and make your situation more manageable.

As a BACP accredited counsellor with 23 years of experience in counselling adults with various difficulties and having my own experience of personal therapy, (a requirement of my training), I understand how important it is to find the right counsellor to help you. For this reason, I offer the first session of one hour, free of charge and £50 per hour thereafter for face-to-face, online or telephone sessions. This initial meeting allows you to meet me to discuss your individual needs from counselling and for us to decide whether we would feel comfortable about working together in future.

My background is in nursing, aromatherapy and complementary therapies and I believe it is important to respond to the whole person as well as to the obvious difficulties presented. I am bound by the Code of Ethics and Practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I have been an accredited member of this organisation since 2008.

I offer both time-limited (6 - 18 weeks) and longer term weekly counselling to suit the client's individual needs, using an approach which integrates psychodynamic therapy, (how past experiences shape present behaviour and feelings) with relational, attachment and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT.)
I offer weekday and evening appointments.

Exploring and reflecting on present difficulties and emotional pain in a private environment that is neither threatening nor controlling, can free you up to take back control over your own life and choices.

Taking that first step to seek help is daunting but may I encourage you to take that first step with me, today?
