About Me

My name is Caeredwen (Kay-er-ed-wen) and I am an emotional and physical therapist working with counselling, coaching, Bowen therapy and Reiki to provide a truly holistic approach to your health concerns.  If your emotional issues are affecting you physically, e.g. through headaches, muscle tension, breathing problems or digestive issues, I can offer a physical treatment as well as talking therapies to give you relief.

As a counsellor I work with emotions and the 'inner child' to address the causes of your issues not the symptoms.  You can learn more about my style of counselling here https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/memberarticles/what-is-emotional-therapeutic-counselling.  I’m a trainer for this counselling school.   I also use CBT and coaching techniques when appropriate, to help you identify ways in which you can address practical issues.  I'm also a specialist in interpersonal communications.

I believe in working with what you present me with on the day, so I don't apply a process to you or try to turn you into some pre-defined version of 'normal'.  My goal is to leave you comfortable with who you are, able to do anything that you want to do without feelings of inadequacy or fear holding you back.  That might take a couple of sessions or a couple of years; we work together for as long as you need. There's no contracted minimum period and you won't 'run out of sessions'.

I do not judge you or what you do, say or think; you are you, a unique and beautiful person with enormous potential.  I don't give advice or direct how you should live.  I'm most interested in people with self-confidence, self-belief and self-expression issues, but I will work with anyone who I feel I can help.

The first session is always a get-to-know-you session where I find out a bit about you and your needs, and you find out about me and how I work.  This session is completely free of charge.  After that, you may want to start working with me immediately, you might want to go away and think about it for a while, or you might never want to see me again; any of those are absolutely fine.  And of course if I don't think I can help you I will say so.

I prefer to work face to face, but can also offer counselling online over a specialist web-based system called Doxy.

I currently have limited availability for daytime appointments only due to client numbers.
