About Me

Being a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I provide a non-judgmental and empathetic service. My training and experience covers working with both adults and young people. I have vast experience working with autistic adults.

The combination of my own life events and work have given me a wealth of experience that has developed my understanding of how individuals may feel in the world we live in. I believe we are the experts of our own lives but sometimes we allow past events or influences of our environments to alter our true self. I offer a safe environment to provide a listening ear and to empower you to explore your inner self and to encourage you to get to where you want to be.

Fees

My fees are £50 per session over zoom, which lasts 50 minutes. I do offer some concessions, please get in contact to discuss.

Initially I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation. This allows me to see what support you feel you need and it allows you to see how comfortable you feel talking to me before entering in to paid therapy.

Training and qualifications

Having graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Criminology and Social Policy, I volunteered doing youth work until I started work as a one-to-one Personal Advisor to young people, for a charity. I offered ‘therapeutic’ type sessions for 7 years before I left to focus on furthering my counselling studies. During this time, I worked for two years at a Carers agency offering voluntary counselling before qualifying, then setting up private practice. Alongside private practice, I manage a counselling team of 10 offering counselling to carers. I have extensive experience working with bereavement and have furthered my qualifications in this field, in order to support my clients more efficiently.
