About Me

Going into therapy can seem daunting, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how the process would work or if we would be a good fit. I provide therapy for people who face uprooting life challenges, wish to explore relationship patterns, or process trauma and wounds from the past. In addition to private practice, I currently work as a qualified counsellor at a local Women's Centre and started my journey as a mentor for the Samaritans. I also have ten years of experience as a support group facilitator with an emphasis on the processing of internalised shame. In addition to this, I have a special interest in how adverse childhood experiences can impact our mental and physical health long-term.

In private practice, I provide short-term and long term therapy and aim to offer a resilience-fostering, politically and spiritually neutral space that embraces people from all walks of life. I like to pay attention to evidence-based therapies and tend to attune to my clients with their backgrounds and environments in mind.

As an integrative counsellor, I believe that you are the expert of your life and thus already carry the answers to most of the blocks, challenges or issues that you might encounter. With this in mind, I consider the therapeutic relationship as the main driver for personal change and growth. I am all for client-led therapy with a focus on the integration of our bodily, emotional and thought-based processes. What does this mean in practice? It means that some experiences (e.g. trauma) can impact our nervous system and organism on a deeper level. With this in mind, therapy can be an agent for change that helps us notice patterns and cope better.
