Tom EvansRelational psychotherapist
My name is Tom (he/his) and I am a psychotherapist in advance training offering short term counselling and long term psychotherapy services to clients in Leyton, East London.
I am here to offer you a supportive, confidential space and walk beside you to explore any concerns you may have within your life at the moment. You may want to bring issues such as low mood/anxiety, depression, repeating patterns in relationships or destructive behaviours, any troubles relating to life purpose and meaning, self worth, shame and fear.
I welcome people of all ages (over 18yrs), genders and ethnicities. My practice is wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ aware and inclusive, and your sexual, gender or relationship identity is fully accepted in my practice.
My special interests include working with relationships, love and intimacy issues experienced by any sex, gender or sexuality - how do we offer and invite intimacy so that we can feel seen, heard and understood by those around us?
I’m particularly interested in how intimacy is experienced by men in a culture where emotions are often suppressed in favour of logical/rational thinking and practical behaviours. How does the disowning of our feelings make it difficult to make meaning of our subjective experience?
