Tina Turpin
Relational counsellorAbout Me
My name is Tina Turpin and I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist and have worked with hundreds of clients. I am a BACP-certified counsellor, who takes an empathetic, integrative approach to helping my clients reach their potential as people.
Every one of us is different, and as such I tailor my approach to each individual client’s needs and focus closely on the client-therapist relationship. For me, respect, trust and empowerment are fundamental to this relationship.
Often talking to a neutral non-judgemental person, such as me, can really help. Together we can work on what troubles you - maybe you have been feeling low for too long and want to change; perhaps you need some help with your anger or to stop feeling so anxious. Maybe you are grieving and need some help. I focus very much on the relationship between client and therapist - a working relationship that is built on respect, trust and empowerment.
As a qualified, sensitive and committed counsellor I can offer you a safe, confidential and comfortable space where you can talk freely and openly about your concerns without the fear of being judged. My approach is to work with you, get to know you and understand how you want to change and move forward. I use an integrative approach which includes Psycho-dynamic work, Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Relational work. This allows flexibility and enables me to find the most suitable therapy for your individual needs - be this short or long term. I work in a non-judgemental and empathic way.
